    The Montresor family winery and vineyards at the base of Lake Garda produce wines that are captivating. We have been fans for quite sometime and while we love the white wines, this powerful and elegant red is perfect for this time of year. The wine is a blend of three grape varieties, Corvina, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The soils of the vineyard are Morainic (deposits of soil and rocks from glacial melt and movement). Being at the base of Lake Garda allows for very warm summers with cooling effects of the lake and air coming down from the mountain passes north of Verona. This wine is perfect with rich stews, grilled or roasted meats, cheeses and of course pasta with hearty sauces.
