The DeFalco family farms this Salento land around the village of Novoli and make wines with enthusiasm and passion. Gabriele is the current generation at the helm and his enthusiasm is infectious. We absolutely love the range of wines from him, but this one is special in that the grape Susumaniello has seldom been seen in a 100% bottling. Just twenty years ago only 175 acres of this grape existed. This deeply colored wine has lovely blackberry, cherry and balsamic notes. Smooth, supple, refined and elegant, this wine is luxurious without being a heavy or tannic wine.

Seasonal update
We are now in a slowdown period as a lot of our snowbirds start heading away. This does give us a chance to regroup and reimagine the market.
We are ready to take reservations for private parties for next season.
In the next few months we will work on some small projects to improve the market for your convenience next season. If you have input on what you’d like to see in the market do let us know.
